Meet Gigi's new elephant friend, Bella-phant!

Last night we went to Wal-mart to do a little shopping. We always let Gigi play with any toys she wants to while were shopping. She knows they go back before we leave the store and we never have an issue with her saying goodbye to them and leaving them behind. While she was reading a Halloween book she spotted this little elephant and asked if she could read to her. The elephant was so soft & snuggly! So Gigi and the elephant enjoyed each others company while we picked up dog food, laundry soap, juice, etc. Gigi was really enjoying this little elephant and asked me if we could bring her home. I said no and told her she already had so many elephants at home already which she does. She thought a moment and asked if the Writing Fairy could bring it. I again said no and that I didn't think the Writing Fairy would be bringing the elephant either. She didn't give up there. She quickly asked if Santa could bring the elephant. I couldn't help but smile. She was really thinking of all her options. I again said that I didn't think Santa would bring her because she already has so many elephants at home. She went quiet again and you could really tell she was thinking hard about this. Then she asked, "maybe the Halloween Fairy could bring her?" I couldn't stop laughing! She was so adorable! I never did answer her because I was laughing so hard but she didn't ask anymore. She didn't
know it at the time but it was very obvious to me that of all the things in our shopping cart that elephant was most assuredly going home with us!

Later on, after her shower and after she finished reading a bed time story to us, Ten Timid Ghosts, we gave her the elephant. Not from the Writing Fairy, or Santa, or the Halloween Fairy, or anyone else....from her Mommy & Daddy because we love her so much and because she fills our hearts with such joy and happiness!!! She couldn't believe her eyes when she pulled him out of the bag! She smiled so big and bright and hugged her elephant and her Mommy & Daddy too!
