If I Didn't See It, I Would Not Have Believed It!!

So, I am folding clothes and watching the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame concert on HBO (which is amazing by the way...catch it if you can). Anyway, Gigi was playing and occasionally dancing to the bouncier songs. Simon and Garfunkel finished and they moved on to Aretha Franklin. Aretha was singing "Baby, I Love You," and got to middle where she was doing a run of yah, yah, yah, yah's and I hear Gigi singing too. I look down and she is holding her Ariel doll like a microphone up to hef mouth and is very clearly imitating Aretha Franklin singing yah, yah, yah, yah, and even bobbing back and forth the same way.
I just can't take how cute she is!!!

She's Making Us Weak!!!

Ok, we're decorating the tree basically all day...we're slow! We just took everything off it & we're starting over because it just wasn't good enough. Anyway, Gigi's been keeping busy watching us and walking back and forth between her bedroom & ours for the past two hours. We didn't realize she was actually on a mission the entire time because we just caught her dropping a toy into her playpen in our room and it turns out there ar dozens of toys in there that she has been secretly smuggling from her room to her playpen! She's hysterical & makes laugh on a daily basis!!! I just love her so much!!!!!

We're decorating for Christmas today...

...And I'm learning just how crazy my Mommy is!!! She wants to take everything off the tree & start over because the lights don't look just right. She said the top of the tree doesn't match the bottom. She's right of course but Daddy's never going to admit it! He'll help her take it apart & start all over again because he loves her & wants us both to have the prettiest Christmas tree possible!!! Isn't he the best Daddy! Mommy really doesn't like the big mess all over the house but I don't mind it so much. There's lots of fun things to look at!!

My Baby is Worn Out!

We gave in to the excitement & went black friday shopping & Gigi is so tired. It's because she was RUNNING around the stores!!! In her squeaky shoes! We went out tonight with Nana & Aunt Liz. We shopped & then went to Whole Foods for dinner then shopped & shopped some more! We didn't really buy much but we had fun looking at all the fun stuff & listening to Gigi squeak around the store!!! It was a very long day!

Something's Just Not Right Here...

We gave Gigi the Little People Nativity & Aunt Liz & Uncle Joseph gave her the Little People Amusement Park for Thanksgiving. I'm so in love with Little People!!! The girls had fun playing with them & as you can see baby Jesus is having fun on the tea cups!! LOL!!! Is it wrong to put the Wise Men on the roller coaster? Mary seems to be enjoying herself on the farris wheel! Even the stable animals are having fun!! Too cute!

Gigi's First Thanksgiving & We're Having Such A Fun Day!!!

I need some onion & celery recipes!!!

There are very few things I cook but what I can cook I do well! If you've ever had my chili you know I'm telling the truth! Thanksgiving dinner is definitely one of my hidden talents, especially the stuffing!!! I make an apple cranberry sausage pecan stuffing that is scrumptious!!! The only thing is I really don't like to chop up all the celery & onions. It's kind of become a tradition that my parents do it for me. My mom doesn't even ask anymore. She even reminds me that they're going to do it. Isn't that sweet! This year was no different. I always make lots of stuffing because it's so good & there's never enough left over. Last year I made it with challah bread (or one of those fancy ones - I can't recall) but this year I decided to stick with good old Arnolds cubed bags. I made the mistake of telling my mom I got four bags because we are an in-the-bird & out-of-the-bird stuffing family!! Anyway, you only need 1 cup of celery & 1 cup of onion per bag...that's 4 cups of each!!! I'm not quite sure what they were thinking because they gave me 2 huge containers of each!!! Seriously I could make a dozen trays of stuffing & still have some celery & onion left over!!! I already made my fancy out-of-the-bird stuffing. I got up early this morning & prepared it. All I have to do tomorrow is put it in the oven! Anyway, my sausage apple cranberry pecan out-of-the-bird stuffing didn't even put a dent in either container!!! So does anyone have any good onion & celery recipes because I think I'm going to have a little left over!!!

My Baby Doll!

I believe this was one of Marie's dresses...Gigi looks so sweet in it. She really enjoys frilly dresses. She likes to twirl in them! I can't wait until Thanksgiving when she gets a very special gift, her first Minnie Mouse dress!!! She's going to look so adorable and as much as she loves Minnie & dresses she's going to love it!!

What a magical night!

I had such a wonderful evening with Dan. I remember at my 10 year celebration Dan told me I had to make it 5 more years so we could have more shrimp and crab claws. Thank goodness they had them or it may not have been worth it! LOL! The pics we posted were only a glimpse of the fun that surrounded us tonight! So many characters & lively entertainment! The only thing that would have made it more encheanting is if Gigi was here to enjoy it! She would have loved to see Belle, Cinderella, Minnie & all the others!

Well, when you're standing in front of a mound of giant shrimp & crab claws & just can't take another bite it must be time to go home! Besides something much more scrumptious is waiting for our return!!!
