We (she) is opening more of her presents today. It's still early & she's sleeping but I'm excited for her. There is some good stuff here! Even better still under the tree but we're going to try to hold off for her birthday for the rest. Not sure if l'll make it! LOL!

Gigi made a necklace in school today

Gigi was so proud of her necklace that she made in school. She wore it all day long.

Off to School

This was Gigi heading off to school this morning. She loves to carry her backpack.  Gigi kept saying, "I don't want to go to school, mommy" but as soon as we got there she was so happy!

Since she's such a big girl now...

...we decided to play a board game with Gigi now that she is a big girl.  we played candyland and she figured it out so quickly. by her  second turn she understood how the game worked and even won! I'm so glad she got the game for Christmas.  If she would open more of her presents there are several others like Hi-Ho Cherry-O. I love having a little girl to play games with.  Even though Daddy is sick & I still have a sore throat we took a few minutes to play with her & it was so worth it! We won't remember being sick but we'll remember the first game we played as a family.  She was a delight to watch as she announced whose turn it was, the color on her card, & the little "doo-doo-doo" silly sounds she made when she made her game piece walk to their color!

Gigi's first school paper!

Gigi was so proud to show me her paper from school. She told me it was the #3 & counted the apples for me.  Of course it is now hanging proudly at home & we will save it & treasure it forever!

Gigi looked so sweet while she slept I had to take a picture. She's growing up so fast! There are moments when she seems like she's still a little baby & then there are times when she's a little girl & it's wonderful & sad all at once!  Tomorrow is a very big day for me (ha ha) Gigi is going to her first day (well, a couple of hours) of preschool!  I won't mention anymore about it (for safety reasons, obviously) but it came highly recommended & when we took Gigi for a visit she seemed to love it. Well, we'll see if I'm able to go through with it in the morning. LOL!

Back to Work...off to Nana & Papa's!

I don't know which of us was more clingy this morning, me or Gigi!  She did not want me to go to work but, of course, as soon as we got to Nana's she barely said goodbye to me!  The best for all of us I suppose!

So Pretty!

It's my last day of vacation. It will be hard to leave Gigi after more than 2 weeks together non-stop! I know she will be excited to go back to Nana & Papa's again but it will take me a while to get used to real life again!

Happy 34th Month Birthday Gigi!

Today Gigi turned 34 months old! How in the world did that happen!

She grew a 1/4 inch. She's 35 1/2 inches tall now & is 26.4 pounds.

Gigi is smarter than ever. She speaks in full & complete sentences & can spell red, green, & pink on her own. I can spell any primary color & she can identify it. She's been able to do this for quite sometime now but it still amazes me!

She is also as stubborn as a two year old can be! Thank God for Time Out! It still works best for any bad behavior. We still use her sticker card as a positive reward program & it's been a great reinforcement for choosing a sippy cup over a bottle. I have faith that one day she will be off the bottle, potty trained, & stop saying "anh".  One can hope!

Happy Birthday baby girl! You'll be 3 before you know it!

Goodbye 2010!

I cannot believe we are saying goodbye to 2010 already! It feels like it just began! I'm amazed at how much Gigi has grown & changed this year!

Santa brought Dan & I new phones so I'm hoping to start blogging more often. I'm still getting used to typing without a key pad! It's sad how much fun was NOT captured on our blog these past few weeks!

I hope everyone has had as wonderful of a year as we had & that 2011 is even better!

"Your daughter is rambunctious! She keeps walking around doing her own thing! She is now being "assisted" by a class helper."

Notice that since she's not doing exactly what she should be doing she's MY daughter! LOL!!! Hopefully they won't remove her from class all together!

The little elf left Gigi a Dora Christmas storybook. I love snuggling up & reading to her at night. She really enjoyed her Berenstain Bears book the other night. I'm so excited about all these fun Christmas surprises Gigi's been getting every night! It's so much fun!

Tonight Gigi got a Chritmas story book. It was a Berenstain Bears book. I enjoyed reading it to her for her bed time story tonight. It was a cute story but sadly did not make her fall asleep! She's still wide awake...the morning is going to come way to soon!!! & it's ballet day - ugh!

So funny!

While shopping Gigi saw this picture display & decided it was her! She kept saying, "it matches Gigi. That's me Mommy, that's me!" Clearly that's not Gigi! LOL!! She's so silly sometimes!

Tonight we received a Christmas card from our Aunt Carol & Uncle Richie & I showed it to Gigi & she said over & over, "it's so amazing!" It was too cute!
