Gigi love, love, loves to read. She has a variety of sight word books & reads between 6 - 10 a day and always at her request. We no longer read to her before bed because she always wants to read to us! She is so smart. It's hard to believe she's so young when she's reading! I love my smart baby!

Gigi Doing Her Favorite Thing - Reading!
My Little Artist!
Gigi has been having weekly play dates at Sagan's house on Fridays and last week she painted this beautiful picture. She brought home two & I asked her to pick one for me to bring to work so I can hang it on my wall. She picked this one. She said it was a picture of Rapunzel with lots of roses in the grass. I love it! She can't wait to go back to Sagan's again tomorrow for her next play date!!!

Oh How I've Missed You, My Sweet Little Blog!!!
I cannot believe how many months have passed since my last blog post! Gigi looked so little in that last picture when she was getting her haircut! She has grown and changed so much since then.
Why did I stop blogging? Why am I back? Will I be faithful with my blog posts as I was in the past? So many questions! I almost feel as if I was cheating on my blog with Facebook but I got caught up in the ease of it.
I stopped blogging initially because I was having some phone issues and 99% of my blog posts were done from my phone. But even after my phone issues were fixed I was already to used to only posting to Facebook. It was just so quick to change my status and post a picture but the problem is, unlike a blog, Facebook has no heart or soul. A quick status, a note on a picture post but where's the story, the emotion behind it?
Today was Papa's 70th birthday and I should have been capturing the fun we were having in my blog. Gigi was so proud to give him the birthday card she made. She drew a beautiful picture with the two of them having a picnic in a blue & pink castle. Where are the pictures, the stories! I can go back through my blog and get almost a day by day tour through our first year & a half with Gigi but I just don't get the same level of satisfaction with Facebook. What was I thinking? I've missed out on capturing so many of Gigi's amazing milestones in the last few months! Gigi turned 3, she began reading and mastering simple sight words and then moved on to read kindergarten level books, we had another visit from the Easter Bunny and she found ALL of the eggs this year, we shared a delightful Mother's day weekend visit to Busch Gardens to see Ernie & Bert and all of our Sesame Street friends, we shared a fun-filled Father's day, Gigi had swim lessons with her best friend (and cousin) Sagan, she performed in her first dance recital, we fostered a sweet little kitten for just over a week, and she became a "big girl" when she learned how to go pee-pee on the potty!!!
Everything she learns seems to be done with such ease. She consistently amazes us with her powerful memory and ability to learn new things. And where were all of my blog posts when all of this was happening! So sad!!!
Well, I'm here to beg my blog for forgiveness and hope it welcomes me back before I miss out on anymore precious memories!!! Please take me back, please accept my posts!!!
