This morning's breakfast time fun was building a puzzle together!
Gigi's first words after waking up this morning...
Gigi: Where's Daddy?
Mommy: At work.
Gigi: Again???
Gigi: Are we going to Ichiban's?
Mommy: Not until tonight.
Gigi: They don't have games there.
Her first words are usually about Daddy so that wasn't a surprise but she's obviously very excited about our dinner plans! LOL!
It's my official last day of vacation (but we still have the weekend!) & we're stuck inside while my car gets fixed so we decided we are going to play with every toy & game Gigi got for Christmas!!! Let the marathon begin!
What a fun time we had at the chocolate factory with our cousins today! Tonight Gigi enjoyed one of the treats we made. A chocolate covered gummy worm with rainbow sprinkles! Although she ate about a dozen gummy bears while there today she doesn't care for the chocolate so she tried biting off each of the sprinkles!!! She got a little messy!
A very full day is coming to an end. Gigi loved all of her presents from Santa, mommy & daddy, & her cousins. It has been delightful watching her play all day and meeting new friends like her unicorn & dragon. These two new friends really hit it off because they've already gone on a date where they went "to a movie, dinner, & lunch!" She is very excited to sleep with her new Rapunzel bed sheets (thanks Daddy for washing them so quickly!) and with a real pillow for the very first time! She had so much fun playing pretend with Trystanne & Emily tonight with her new fresh market kitchen!!! They were so adorable making & selling their baked goods!
Only one more sleep until Santa comes!!! This morning Gigi found this adorable dinglehopper hair brush in her sleigh. She's wearing the Jasmine nightgown that Santa left yesterday morning. We sure are going to miss getting such wonderful surprises each morning!!! It has been fun. Especially that first moment when she jumps out of bed, runs to check the sleigh, and then jumps up and down excitedly yelling, "he came! He came!!"
We are so excited to spend the evening with our good friend at Disney's Hollywood Studios to see the Christmas lights!!!
We are having such a fun time in Epcot today. We spent a few hours with the family, but have all gone our separate ways. After a wonderful Morrocan lunch and some Christmas carols by the Voices of Liberty, we are now floating through the countries, including France, where we just met Belle and the Beast. It feels more like Christmas in July but we are still enjoying ourselves!
This morning Gigi found Belle's Enchanted Christmas movie in her sleigh! What a special treat she can share with Nana & Papa today! I wish I could stay home & enjoy it with them! I have a feeling she will be willing to watch it again!
This morning Gigi found a purple dragon in the sleigh from Santa. Of course she corrects me when I say that because although it's from Santa it's his elves that bring it. Apparently he's too busy at his workshop to deliver any toys right now. He is preparing for his visit & it's very soon! Every morning Gigi moves the star in the Tigger stocking to the next date & he tells us how many more days are left. We have a fun little tradition each morning including moving a hunny pot magnet on a count down calendar too. But I think her favorite part is opening a present. I think that's my favorite part too! She liked her little dragon & has identified her as a girl but we're still working on a name for her. She suggested Princess as she always does but I'm encouraging her to be a little more creative.
On a different note, how sweet is this little dress? A Once Upon a Child find. It's a size 3T & just a little too short but I just couldn't help myself! It is so very cute! She needed a few long sleeve dresses even though our winter is being so shy! Keep watching for the blue snowman dress. It's another super cute one. She'll be wearing it Friday night at her school Christmas show. And the green butterfly dress that she'll be wearing Sunday for Aunt Kathleen's visit...Aunt Kathleen loves butterflies!
This morning Gigi found this very pretty Rapunzel shirt in the Christmas sleigh. It was a delightful surprise for all of us! The countdown continues...only 12 days until Christmas!!
She's cute as a cookie and she's only 3 once so yes we dress her up in silly costumes and she loves it as much as us! We're off to a quick visit to the Magic Kingdom. It's our last chance for a visit in 2011. We would have been off sooner today but our plumbing issues decided to act up again over night but I'm so glad to say Papa & Uncle Ron have fixed it...again....3rd times a charm...we hope! No silly clamp this time. New pipes! Let's just hope there's no new leaks from other areas in the house!!! Some day they will all need to be replaced, I'm sure. But not today!
Well, there's only 14 days until Santa's official visit but he sure has been leaving some wonderful gifts for Gigi each morning. She won't have as many to open Christmas morning but it's so nice to have a full day to enjoy a gift all by itself before opening the next one. Today she got this beautiful Cinderella plush doll. She's wearing Gigi's favorite color!!!
This morning Gigi found this adorable Snow White shirt in her sleigh and even though it is 12/6 it is still warm enough to wear a short sleeve shirt! Despite the lack of cold weather we have been enjoying the 25 days of Christmas and love waking up to see if Santa's elves left a surprise in the sleigh. So far so good!
We're heading to Hogwarts for our annual family day & Gigi was very excited to find a Harry Potter wand in her sleigh this morning from Santa's elves for the 25 days of Christmas. Now that's what I call perfect timing!!!
Gigi made a card for Santa and we cut out some pictures of toys from the Toys R Us catalog and pasted them inside to give Santa some ideas. We had a fun discussion during the process. She wasn't quite getting the concept of "ideas".
Tomorrow starts the 25 days of Christmas. The magical sleigh has found its way under the tree & it's ready for Santa's elves to bring a present! I can't wait to see what's in it!
Well tonight we said goodbye to a friend we never even met...we had our last visit from the Writing Fairy. It makes sense. Gigi is doing much better with her handwriting practice & we can see a big improvement. She cannot write any letters on her own yet other than "GiGi" but she is much better about tracing than when we first started practicing a few months ago. She really doesn't need the encouragement the Writing Fairy provided plus it's Christmas time now & the 25 days of Christmas will be here very, very soon! We wouldn't want any competition between Santa & the Writing Fairy!
Her last surprise was a book called "One Hundred Shoes" with a pair of slippers and a letter from the Writing Fairy himself!
We had a wonderful vacation in New Jersey for Sara's wedding. Gigi was a lovely flower girl! We enjoyed visiting with family & friends. We had a fun Thanksgiving at Aunt Jen's. Gigi loved playing with her cousins on the playground & riding around on the Christmas decorated golf cart! We let Daddy talk us into going out into the madness that is Black Friday shopping but we did have a great time laughing at the Muppet movie. We finished up our vacation with a visit to Sea World where it was full of Christmas cheer! Now we are ready for school & back to our normal routine as we prepare for Santa's big visit!
The shows were great and the decorations were beautiful. We had a wonderful afternoon and night!!!
We're having a wonderful day at Sea World. It's all decorated for Christmas & there are lots of Christmas shows too. On the way in I reminded Gigi that there won't be any trick-or-treating like at Halloween time and she told me that at Christmas time you get candy canes and sure enough they were giving out candy canes. Smart kid! She actually licked one for a while!
She's got chicken fingers & all her Muppet friends...we're ready!
We've been waiting a long time for this movie & we're super excited! Gigi decided to take a nap on the way to the theater so we had to go later than planned but now she'll be wide awake for the movie!

The parade was so much fun, the castle show was delightful, Gigi loved the dance party, but I think she had the most fun on all the rides in Fantasyland! There were no lines when we made it back there! I don't mean a 10 min wait or even 5 min...I mean walk on immediately!!! It was awesome! She got Belle AND the Beasts autograph for her book as well as Peter Pan and Wendy!!! We saw some princesses & Mickey and Minnie before the party started. Oh and we got to see all 7 dwarfs together again like at the Halloween party. I didn't even think about buying a dress this time! LOL! Of course I was kicking myself because we did buy a Snow White Halloween costume (much less $$ than the park dress) but we are saving it for Christmas. I might have brought it if I knew they were going to be there. But she did look adorable as a snowman!!! We had an amazing afternoon and night!!! The Christmas season has officially begun for us!!!
We're on our way to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!! Gigi was so tickled to have a special Christmas themed costume to wear for the festive event!
Despite the tag, this is Dan writing, not Denise. It was such a pleasure to drive Gigi to school today. We had a fun conversation in the drive about cars, colors, M&Ms, and many other important topics. It was so sweet to walk her in and wave goodbye as she joined her friends. Gigi is 44 months old today!!! She had an amazing October filled with lots of Halloween fun. She grew a 1/4 of an inch this month & she weigh 29.6 pounds. We are very excited to welcome the cool, crisp November weather and looking forward to Christmas time!!!
