Gigi loves her blankets!

She snuggles with her blankets and always makes sure one is nearby. It's so cute. Tonight when she so "politely" requested that I remove her from her crib and put her in my bed she very quickly grabbed her blanket when I picked her up as if she was rescuing it while making her escape...no blankets left behind!

Tomorrow is Gigi's 25 month birthday! Keep an eye out for birthday stats tomorrow. Do you believe that this time last year we were just days away from receiving "the call"! Wow, has the time flown by!

The First Annual Washing of the Easter Eggs has Begun!

As I filled out the Census it made me ponder how many eggs the Easter Bunny has to hide this weekend & being that it's Gigi's first egg hunt we want to be sure there are lots and lots of eggs for her to gather so we decided to help him out!!!

The count so far is 256....is that too many??? I can only blame K-mart for selling them at 90% off after Easter two years ago! When they're like 40 cents for 100 I just can't help myself!! LOL! It may take her all day or all week but we have a feeling it's going to be a lot of fun watching her so really the eggs are for us!! LOL!! And I have a strong suspicion that Emily & Tegan will be more than happy to help her out!

We're looking forward to our newest family tradition of Easter morning with more eggs than one child needs to hunt for in a life-time and homemade waffles! And we're so glad our dear friend Aunt Kitty will be joining us this year!!!

Gigi got so excited to wear this pretty little dress today! She walked around saying, "oh, how pretty!". Too sweet! I had to snap a few pictures so I can look at them throughout the day today while at work.

Amazed!

She still brings us to tears in the smallest of acts! We're walking through the mall & we started walking through this giant circular seating area that has music & about a dozen video screens overhead showing all different images & we were just power housing through it to get to the other side & Gigi just stopped in her tracks and that of course stopped us and then she looked around and up at all the screens and smiled a smile that seemed to say, "whoa, did you guys see this! Wow! Where on Earth are we" and then she began dancing her lovely Gigi ballet. It's as if we stepped into wonderland with her and I have no idea how we will ever leave this place! When the music changes so do her moves! She goes from Swan Lake to techno to Disco with the change of a beat. She even throws in a little baby River Dancing and Swing dancing!!!

I love her so much!!!! And LOVE watching her experience such wonder!

Waffles! Yum!

Last Sunday Gigi tried pancakes & seemed to like them at first but didn't eat too much so this week I made waffles with the Belgum waffle maker Liz gave me at Christmas. It took us long enough to try it but oh boy are they yummy! And Gigi really likes them!

Sleep update: she refused to nap yesterday so she was out by 8:30 & stayed asleep in her crib for 4 hours straighta! After her quick wake up for a diaper change at 12:30 a.m. She made it all the way to 8:30a.m.!!! That's 12 hours! Woohoo! I think we're going to skip naptime today! LOL!

Well, either way today is off to a great start! Happy Sunday everyone!

Magic Wall Fun!

Gigi's going to be so excited to see that her new Barney magnet works on her "magic wall" in her bedroom. Only very light weight magnets seem to work & I wasn't sure about this one because it seemed kind of heavy but it sticks!

We had a very successful bed time tonight...even better than last night! Tonight she was out by 10:15! We're getting closer to our 8:30 goal! We did it before...I know we can tire her out enough to get there! LOL! She definitely wears me out!

Great Weather for a drive!

Nana just took Gigi for a drive all around the patio & around the pool. Nana's pooped but Gigi's ready for more! Of course!

This weather is so beautiful!!! I wonder what fun we'll have this weekend! I hope it's outdoors!

Success! And all by 11:00pm!

This is what we are calling a successful night! Last night I declared our house to be a bed time free zone after spending three hours trying to put Gigi to sleep! Tonight around 8-ish, when she was sleepy and ready for her bottle, I laid her down with a bottle and no expectation of sleep...of course by 8:30 she was up and ready to go go go! She danced & played & laughed for about 2 more hours & at 10:30ish when she was showing signs of sleepiness I put her in her crib with a bottle & cranked up the classical music & she was out by 11:00! Now to most that doesn't sound successful but that's an hour earlier than any night this week and without any melt downs from Gigi or us!

Now if she can sleep through the night in her crib then we'll really celebrate & dance a jig!

We did have a fun night playing & I introduced Gigi to the wonderful world of play-doh. She didn't want anything to do with it but she liked seeing all the things I made and she touched it a few times. She was more interested in the containers!
