Gigi got so excited to see Santa outside tonight. Even though they've been there we haven't blown them up in a while. Daddy blew them up and hosed them down to get them clean & ready to be packed up. He left them on for one more night so Gigi can enjoy them again & she did!

Gigi's eating so good! She's having rice and broccoli and chicken at Panda Express. Daddy got to choose since we're celebrating his birthday this weekend & January is almost over & he would be so sad to have missed the firecracker chicken. He said they only have it in January - or was that his excuse to get to go there? LOL! Me & Gigi didn't mind! The food is yummy!

Aww...Gigi shared her cupcake with Emily!

Gigi gave her cupcake to Emily. Not that we ever thought Gigi was really going to eat it! She's just not into sweets but she loved talking to Mickey Mouse on the ring. She freaked out when I tried to put the ring on her finger but she was quite pleased to see it on mine!

There was a graduation at DRC today & the trainers were so sweet to send a cupcake home to Gigi!!! She's so loved.

Dan's angiogram results were great! We we're so thrilled to hear this, It will take a few days to recover from the procedure & Gigi is just the trick to help him feel better! She loves playing in our bed so Daddy is getting lots of snuggles from her which makes him smile & feel great!

I just love him so much!!!

They just took Dan in to be prepped. I can go in in about 20 minutes & wait with him until they do the procedure. I'm so proud that he is taking all these steps to ensure he is healthy & fix any problems he has but it's all a bit scary!!! I know this is all going to go well. He promised me he wouldn't die & I believe him! I just love him so much & couldn't imagine my life or Gigi's life without him! He is such a devoted husband & father. He takes such good care of us too! Do you know that after 18 years of marriage he still sits at the foot of the bed every night & gives me a foot rub. EVERY night & I never ask. He just does it! What a role model for Gigi!!! She's going to have some high expectations when she's looking for a husband...he will have to give foot rubs, do dishes, & laundry too! I can't recall the last time I washed a load of clothes! I'm not sure if I even know how anymore! LOL! He just takes such wonderful care of us, every day!!! He's funny too. Always making us laugh or at least trying!!! And he always laughs at all my silly jokes. He always tells me that he doesn't know how we found each other and he doesn't think anyone else could get him like I do...I feel the exact same way about him!

They just brought me to him...he's prepped but now we have to wait about 2 1/2 hours before he goes in for the procedure.

Gigi's having a ball!

There was a big bag of balls on clearance at Target & we got 'em! Gigi LOVES balls & now she has lots to play with! We were so excited to find so many balls for just a few dollars. We put them, all 150, in her play house & she just thinks that's hysterical!

And she's so smart. I just asked for each color ball & she gave me the right color every time!

Well, it's night-night time now. Please send lots of prayers for Gigi's Daddy...he is going for an angiogram early in the morning. I'll post on Facebook how it goes.

Such a big girl!

Oh man, it's crazy how big Gigi is now!!! This little Pooh shirt she's wearing is actually a dress she wore during the summer!!!

I guess I should be happy she can still wear it as a shirt for a little while longer since it is size 12 months but I think she will be in all of her 24 month clothes before too long! But thanks to all of our friends and family she has tons of 24 month size clothes!

I feel like I'll be dressing her for Kindergarten before too long...she's growing up too quick!!!

Well, this is the last weekend with our Christmas tree! I think Gigi suspects something...

She has gone to every ornament she can reach and had a little visit. If she knows their name she says hi and calls them by name. All the round ornaments are balls to her and it was so cute to see her figure out when there were two of the same kind on opposite sides of the tree! She's so smart!

Her favorites by far have been the talking Pooh and the Ariel ornaments. Pooh speaks to us often with the help of Gigi & we find the Ariel ornament in some of the oddest parts of the house because for some reason that's the one Gigi is constantly taking off the tree. She has had some lovely conversations with Pooh, Kanga & Roo, Eeyore, Rabbit, Piglet, & Tigger. It's so fun to hear her say all of their names like they're all best friends which, of course, they are!!!

For the past several weeks she's been saying, "hi tree" to every Christmas tree she's seen & it will be sad tomorrow when she says bye to ours but it will be back before you know it!!!

She's a Genius!!!

Tonight was a night of two firsts...at Nana's when Barney ended he said, "and remember, I love you!" as he always does and although Gigi has been in her own way able to say I love you for quite sometime now she always just said "I" and the rest was implied but tonight she repeated after Barney loud & clear "I love you!" It was so exciting to hear so I asked her to say it again & she did & then I asked her to say it 15 more times & she did!!! She couldn't sound more adorable!
The other "first" was fitting the shapes in their spot on her learning door. Every day she takes them out and I show her where they go & put them back constantly & as soon as I put them in place she pulls them out but tonight she decided she would put them in their spots. She started with the flower & tried it in the circle spot & quickly realized it wouldnt fit & then put it in the flower shaped spot. We were both so proud! She immediately reached for the round one & knew right where it went!!! She needed a little help with the triangle shape but she knew exactly where it went but just couldn't get it aligned right the first couple of times. It was so fun watching her work through the process. She is amazing & I sometimes wonder if she is a genius or if this is normal 22 month-old smart?

My Sleeping Bean Bag Girl

I'm not sure who enjoys story time more, me or Gigi? She's usually asleep by the end of one chapter but tonight she wasn't quite snoring yet so I started then next chapter even though I knew it was really just for me to hear. There was a conversation between Owl & Rabbit that had me in tears with laughter & it was so hard to keep it in!! I dog-eared the pages so I could share them with Daddy when he gets home. I just love The World of Pooh!!! So witty & full of humor! I may enjoy it a bit more than Gigi since it makes me crack up & her fall asleep! Or maybe it's just a different level of enjoyment!!!

Celebrating Mommy & Daddy's 18th Anniversary

Daddy took us to Mommy's favorite Chinese restaurants! It's Gigi's first time here & she loves it! The last time we came here was the night of April 3rd when we got the long awaited phone call about Gigi!!! It's obviously a place we go for celebrating important things!!!

FUN Hair Day!!!
